I have lived in so many places (grew up in NJ, lived in London, San Fran, Chicago - throughout the city - Soho, Murray Hill, Clinton) and yet Tribeca is my home. The only place since my childhood home I truly feel part of a community and so proud of where I live! I love the people, pets, coffee shops, local pubs, brunch places - it's just perfect for our family! I too read the article and was shocked! 14th! How is Murray Hill (and I speak from experience) a better place to live than Tribeca???? Well, I think your theory is right - we are keeping it a secret. People know it's restaurants and film festivals but not its fabulous lifestyle and that's just fine with me. I like it the way it is (could do with better school zoning though!)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16100199024250960826noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6778592274658956147.post-27862756566858073062010-04-20T17:52:11.101-04:002010-04-20T17:52:11.101-04:00you've described it! we have made little villa...you've described it! we have made little villages within the big city.

maybe the rougher the 'hood, the tighter the bonds. I don't miss stepping over crack vials in alphabet city, but I was much closer to my neighbors and store owners there more than anyone i've met here in my new (relatively) pristine digs.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
